Aachen/Berlin, December 9, 2020 – Vattenfall Smarter Living GmbH starts the year 2021 at its Aachen location in new premises: With the move to the Fraunhofer Erlebniswelt INCworX on the campus of the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen (RWTH), Vattenfall Smarter Living will also become a member of the top-class innovation network “INC Invention Center”.
“We are very pleased that we and our team will be able to work in this innovative and creative environment in the future”, emphasizes Markus Reinhardt, Managing Director of Vattenfall Smarter Living GmbH. The new location and membership in the network not only gave the approximately 15 employees at the Aachen location direct access to the latest findings in technology research. “Here we can work together with partners on our goal of driving forward the energy turnaround with digital innovations”.
Together with its research partners, the INC Invention Center accompanies and advises companies in all questions concerning technology and innovation management. The cross-sector innovation network comprises more than 35 companies. In the partner offices of INCworX on the campus of RWTH Aachen University, experts from industry and research work closely together and jointly implement innovation projects.
Vattenfall Smarter Living GmbH is a young business unit of the Swedish energy provider Vattenfall. With the VLINK white label platform, the company offers comprehensive digital and automated services for public utilities as well as fulfillment services in the areas of photovoltaics, battery storage and heat and charging solutions for electric vehicles. The platform, on which sales, processing and operation of the products can be mapped, is already used by more than 50 customers, primarily municipal utilities.
